subscription form does not work on my site

subscription form does not work on my site

am 07.05.2005 04:49:58 von Wendy

I have a subscription form on my Yahoo site. The address
is thirdagetraveler.com. If you go to that site, the
subscription form works, but if you go to
www.thirdagetraveler.com, a Front Page error message
appears when you press the submit button. I need to be
able to enter the site using www or I cannot send links.
How come it works without the www but not with the www?
How can I make it work with the www?
I am new at this, so please be patient in your
explanations. Thank you for your help
Wendy

Which form are you talking about?? The only subscription I could find was a link that opens the
email client on my machine.
I could not find a "form" anywhere.

I used the form page wizard in Front Page to create my
subscription form. When I was done, it worked, a
confirmation page appeared to the submitter only if it
were done at http://thirdagetraveler.com. If it were
done at http://www.thirdagetraveler.com, instead of the
confirmation page, a page appeared that said Front Page
Error contact your webmaster. That's me, and, of course,
I'm stymied. I did call Yahoo. They do not really
support Front Page at this level.

Wendy,

Ask yahoo to copy your frontpage cnf file
(/usr/local/frontpage/thirdagetravler.com:80.cnf to
/usr/local/frontpage/www.thirdagetraveler.com:80.cnf).

Re: subscription form does not work on my site

I'm sorry again. Because I wanted to get the site up, I
deleted the form that didn't work and replaced it with
the current subscription page which allows me
to "handwrite" my data base. I would like to know how to
make a form work there so that whether the reader lands
on the site through www.thirdagetraveler.com or
thirdagetraveler.com, the form will work and send that
subscriber to my data base.
