FPSE Admin Login Rrefused

In this example I am extending server extensions to the example domain:
âwww.mydomain.comâ but the issue happens with ALL sites I have tired to
install extensions on.
I just installed FPSE 2002 on a new HDD with a fresh OS/IIS installation. I
have all my websites and mail working.
It appears that I am successfully installing FPSE on the website as I am
properly transported over to the âExtend Virtual Server with FrontPage Server
Extensions 2002â in the browser and then prompted to specify the
âAdministratorâ user name, as expected.
As I have done in the past with previous installations, I accept the default
âSERVERNAME/adminloginâ and click the âSubmitâ button. Then I am taken to
the âServer Administrationâ page where all my websites are listed, again as I
would expect.
I then click on the âAdministrationâ link next to the
âhttp://www.mydomain.comâ website I just extended, and I am properly taken
to the âVirtual Server Administrationâ page. There I click on the same URL
as shown that is next to âgo to site administrationâ at the top of the page.
As I should, I get a normal login prompt.
THIS IS THE ISSUE:
I enter (no quotes ââ) in âSERVERNAME/adminloginâ OR âSERVERNAME\adminloginâ
OR âadminloginâ (I used to just have to enter âadminloginâ) and the Server
Administrator password but I am not provided access. The login box keeps
popping up. Then I am transported to the following page after three or four
tries: http://www.mydomain.com/_vti_bin/_vti_admin/fpadmdll?page=we badmin.htm
which says
âYou are not authorized to view this pageâ
When I try to login again, the login field has been auto populated with
âwww.mydomain.com/adminloginâ which does not work either.
As suggested by a support tech earlier, the âadminloginâ server admin
account needed to have FULL CONTROL to the ALL the Website folders. I made
sure this is the case but has had no effect.
