Cannot Authenticate

Greetings all. I know I'm missing something stupid but I'm stumped.
Installed FP on Cent OS 4.3. Everything went ok. I chmod 755
/var/log/httpd, I edited the necessary stuff in HTML Unauthorize.var.

Apache/2.0.52


I try to log into a newly installed web and I keep getting the password
prompt over and over again. I've got nothing in the error_log but
access_log shows:

"POST /_vti_bin/_vti_aut/author.exe HTTP/1.1" 401 252 "-"
"MSFrontPage/6.0"

Any ideas? Thanks
