What Exactly Does An SMTP Error 354 Mean?

What Exactly Does An SMTP Error 354 Mean?

I am suddenly getting 354 errors from SquirrelMail when I attempt to send.
This does not happen with other UAs so this may well be an SM problem,
but after perusing the error description on the web, I'm still unclear
as to what the error means.

TIA,

3xx codes are not error codes, they're intermediate status codes. 354
is the normal SMTP response when the sender has said it wants to send
the body of a message; the SMTP server sends 354 meaning "go ahead and
start sending." Sounds like your SquirrelMail is pretty broken if it's
treating that as an error condition. Only 4xx and 5xx codes are errors.

Read RFC2821...
