FP2003 crashes in Vista

I am having trouble geting FP2003 to work right in Vista Home Premium.

Whenever I try set a a link, the moment I select a folder, the program
crashes. I have downloaded all updates, have tried XP compatibility mode,
but get the saem results everytime. FP2000 worked fine.
Is there a solution??

FP2003 works just fine for me running Vista Home Premium. Try un-installing
and re-installing it. You can also try FP Cleaner at
http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm

It is a known problem for FP2003/Vista combination and can't be fixed.

It is? Really? That's funny. I've never heard of this "known problem" and
FP2003 works just fine on both my PCs running Vista. Where did you hear
about this known problem so I can go read about it?

David please share it with us how you solved the problem of FP2003 sudden
closing when one tries to create a link?

I didn't solve any problem. There never was/is a problem. FP2003 works
just fine in Vista. If yours doesn't try un-installing and re-installing it
or try FP Cleaner at http://www.95isalive.com/fixes/fpclean.htm

What's the matter with you, Microsoft Guys? Claiming that it does not
happen, is not going to change our experience. FP2003 does crush immediately
if one tries to create a link in it on machine with Vista. Type "FP2003
Vista" in Google and click on the third link. Others posting there have
similar experience.
It does happen on my brand new Dell. (Vista, Office 2007, EW, Photoshop CS2,
FP2003 and nothing else.)
BTW, I like Vista and recommend it to anybody that asks about my experience
with it.
