Indexing problem?

I have a problem where my contacts table won't show all entries.
Is there a way of re-indexing (if indeed that is the problem) the database?
I'm running vista, so there is no "file maintenance" optimise file options
like on a mac. I think it have been removed from filemaker 9 OS X anyway!
