Invoice New Record comes with data already entered

FM 8.5 pro

I have an INVOICE. When I create a new record the FIELD kf_Contact_ID
has a value already entered. It seems to be grabbing information
somewhere and auto entering it. (CONTACTS is a related TABLE,
selection comes through a drop down list, Values from Company/
kp_Contact_ID)

Does this clear enough for ideas on why this is happening?

Go into the field defenition itself and see if there are any tick-boxes
activated. Probably you'll find it to be an auto-entered serial. If it is so
you don't want to mess with things. Anyway ID fields should be left alone
and normally wouldn't even be visible for the end-user. Unless there are
specific reasons to show them.
