#1: IIS 5.1 + FP Extensions 02 = Little Stop Sign

Posted on 2008-04-18 16:33:29 by Jon Furman

Hello everyone. I'm hoping someone can shed some light on something that's
bugging me. I have IIS installed on my development machine with the 02
version of the FP server extensions installed. Everything seems to be
working except for one little thing. If I'm in the admin console and right
click a web directory (including the root) and click the "Recalculate Server
Extensions 2002 Web" it causes the icon for the root web site to turn into
the error stop sign. As far as I can tell the recalc and all other
subsequent operations in the FP admin pages still work. It gets stranger
because I can find no evidence of an error being logged in either the
machines event log or the web log. Further more if I go to a FP recalc page
strictly through the browser there is never a problem. It only happens when
I initiate the recalc from the admin panel and it happens for every folder I
choose. If anyone else has seen this I'd love to hear from you all.

Thanks for reading.

Jon
