#1: import permissions problem

Posted on 2008-04-21 20:55:23 by Bill Steele

To archive old records I created a clone of the active database. The
only things I changed were the filename and the title at the tp of the
page. Once a week I find old records, export, open the clone, import, go
back and delete the found set.

Both are FM 8v3 served by FM server 7.

When I go to import, the Import records menu item in the clone is grayed
out. I have to open the server, close the database, open it locally and
do the import.

Same user, same privilege set. So why is the import option unavailable?
I notice in the privilege dialog there is a checkbox for "allow export"
but none for "allow import."
