Importing Records Problem

Importing Records Problem

I have been Importing Records from one file to another with-out any
problems, but I have added one field to the source file and it will not
import the new file. I have done this many time with no problems, but this
time I'm stumped. There must something I didn't do and I don't see it. Can
you help me?

I'm using Filemaker Pro 9 with Windows XP

CS Thank you

Some more information would be helpful. Are the source and
destination files both FMP files? Is it a scripted or manual import?
What error messages (if any) are you seeing? Are you mapping all
fields or just some? What else can you tell us about the two files?

hope this helps

You probably need to re-map the import order.

The source file are FMP file and it is scripted. I do not get an ERROR
Message, I just don't get the values for the fields. I have mapped all the
fields from the source to the destination, and I get all the fields except
the one I added. This is what bothers me everything works except 1 field.

I'm sure your right, I have deleted the Import in the script file and
reentered it several times. Is there something else I should do in the
re-mapping .

After adding the field, the auto-import should be done once manually. Open
up the script. Find the import records step and activate it. Now find the
tickbox that says: Perform without dialog. and untick the box. Run the
script, re-map the fields. Open the script and set the tickbox again.
Remeber you have to do this every time you add a field.

Keep well, Ursus
