*.myd, *.frm and all scripts 0 bytes after installation of 5.0.0a-alpha on NT 4
am 30.06.2004 19:39:14 von Christopher.SenayAfter installing version 5.0.0a-alpha on a Windows NT 4.0 I'm unable to =
start the database server.
Two error logs are generated, one which seems to show normal creation of =
InnoDB files and constraint tables, a second which gives the error =
"Fatal error: Can't open privilege tables: Incorrect information in =
file: '.\mysql\host.frm'.
I find that all files in the ....\data\mysqld folder (*.MYD and *.FRM) =
are 0 bytes. Further, all files in the Scripts folder are 0 bytes.
Have tried removing and reinstalling the package twice from different =
mirror sites each time, verifying MD5 checksum. Also tried searching =
the mail lists and web for similar issues. Doesn't seem to be addressed =
in the tech manual, unless I'm missing something.
Would appreciate any insights - thanks.
Also - any recommendations for a good source for quick lookups of error =
messages? - thanks again.
