hi, I got a problem.
I'd download W2KSP4.exe from Microsoft and put it on my Windows 2000 SP4
Server. I made it available to download by put it in one of my virtual
directory in IIS.
After the I downloaded this file to my home pc by IE using
http://www.mydomain.com/w2ksp4.exe with the GetRight Download program.

But the Getright can not download this file, it says "The server busy, try
to reconnect again in ...minute" and sometimes says "Connected to server,
wait for reply" then nothing happen, no download occurred.

Then I remote to my Server to check the problem and I found that every
partitions on my server all nearly full capacity!!!! All drives have a
strange folders name and there have the subfolder name "i386" on all these
folders. And I can not open these i386 folders, it says "Access Denied". I'd
check the folder's security and found that the folder owner creator is
"Internet Quest Account" and no right was assigned to any users
(Administrator and Internet Guest Account).

At first time I thought that my server was hacked!! but After I'd take owner
and delete all of these strange folders.

I'd start to download the W2KSP4.exe again and same problem, and found that
at my server's virsual web partition location (E:\hosting\mysite\), I see the
new strange folder (with i386 folder inside) appeared suddently on the "E:\"
!!!!! For example, E:\e3flijsif\i386 .

Why the exe file are automatically installed to the server when download via
IE ?????

Please help...
Regards,
Neung

What I think has happened is that you have "scripts and executables" allowed
to run on your IIS - when you're requesting the file with getright it's
attempting to execute it rather than downloading it.

it _shouldn't_ do this logically speaking, but it's the only obvious
explanation. turn that permision off for that file ASAP!
