Hi There,
This has been covered many times on this list. Additionally, there is a
section in the manual:
http://www.postgresql.org/docs/view.php?version=7.3&file=ins tall-
win32.html
Basically, you need to install cygwin (http://www.cygwin.com).
PostgreSQL availible as a standard cygwin package.
Matthew.

While the standard way of doing this involves setting up cygwin and
jumping through all those hoops, there's a beta of 7.3.1 for windows
available that's described at:
http://techdocs.postgresql.org/guides/InstallingOnWindows
and it doesn't need cygwin, and appears to be faster than the cygwin
method as well. It is still a beta, so test thoroughly before any
deployments.
