hi!

does anyone here knows how some sites are able to chow their icons whenever
their site is accessed? what i mean is for example when i type the
"www.yahoo.com" in the internet explorer/konqueror, the icon of yahoo appears.

its a favicon, specified in the html headers.

www.favicon.com

It's a 16x16 icon called favicon.ico in the docroot directory of the
server.
