More information on Geospatial Index Bug

am 11.11.2004 00:12:06 von Dave Penton

Hi,

Thanks for the bug service. We were just wondering if you could
change the status of Bug #5357 from `can't repeat' to `open' as
there are a few of us that have come across it again. We've added
a repeatable test case. The bug appears in MySQL 4.1.7 where it
was reported on MySQL 5.

http://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=5357

Summary of bug:
Long floating point numbers in the x coordinate position of a
MBRContains query does not work when there is a Geospatial
Index.

Hi,

Thanks for the tireless job you guys put in.

Is it possible for someone to verify bug #5357? It
would be helpful as the person who posted the original
bug gave a dodgy test case.

There are a couple of us wanting this bug fixed. It
would be great if someone could verify that the
new test cases shows the bug.
