SV: MySQL 3.23.54a rpm

How-To-Repeat: just type on a redhat 8.0 installation rpm -i
MySQL-3.23.54a.rpm


Hi When i try to install MySQL 3.23.54a linux, rpm it says that MD5
checksum is wrong quiting..

I have tried to download the package from another mirror with the same
error.

So is it a bug or do i have something wrong in by system?

Hmm, what file exactly did you use? "MySQL-3.23.54a.rpm" is none of the
files that were provided by us. Our RPMs are named as follows:

MySQL-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm
MySQL-3.23.54a-1.src.rpm
MySQL-bench-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm
MySQL-client-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm
MySQL-devel-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm
MySQL-shared-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm

You can verify, if an RPM is intact by using "rpm --checksig ",
before installing it.

Please try to download the files once more. After downloading, make sure
that the MD5 checksums are correct. You can do this with the following
command: "md5sum ". For our 3.23.54a RPMs, you should get the
following checksums:

d4de4c65ab396750f2b37b144b31022c MySQL-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm
fb24b33f863357a83c1318ff6073a3dd MySQL-3.23.54a-1.src.rpm
95b9a4ada25922f5b842ebc8c033bf8d MySQL-Max-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm
c9d66874319f9cbef64098f85fa0b9d7 MySQL-bench-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm
f81a8846a92780e13714fdae803f9b00 MySQL-client-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm
7f0931a3ce05410bdf05485551c4b0e5 MySQL-devel-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm
d4a165a0eaba15ec18772d5313c48785 MySQL-shared-3.23.54a-1.i386.rpm

Don't install the RPMs, if these checksums look different for your
packages! Actually, please let us know if they do, so we can verify what's
wrong with them.
