This bug is already fixed in my local bk-tree. The next version (0.8.8)
will contain this bug-fix.
Thanks for the bug-report.
BTW, a TEXT field will not hold 105Kb of data ... you will need to use
"LONGTEXT" in this case (even though this is not related to the bug).

Jorge

This Report was made using the WinMySQLAdmin 1.4 Tool
1/9/2003 8:21:19 AM
Description :
MySQL Control Center 0.8.7-alpha
Windows 2000 Professional SP3
MySQLCC ceases to function when accessing a longtext [mine was 105kb]
How-To-Repeat :
- I created a test database with one table 'site text'.
- I created a standard autoincrement 'ID' field [int], 'short description' [text],
then 'sitetext' [longtext]
- In the Console Manager MDI window, I doubleclicked my server. [localhost]
- I doubleclicked the database.
- I doubleclicked Tables for an expanded tree view.
- I doubleclicked the table.
- I doubleclicked one of the fields on the right window.
- The field editor comes up.
- I doubleclicked the longtext, inserted roughly 105 KB.
- Applied.
- Then I tried doubleclicking the newly filled [longtext] field. - It halts right
there.
Fix :
- That is up to you guys. =/ Unfortunately I am not a good programmer.

Sword of Doom is no more unfortunately. Had to switch hosts
three times in two weeks. I am convinced that there are no good
affordable long term hosting services. If you know of an
excelent Windows application hosting provider with remote
administration capabilities via VNC programs of my choice,
please do tell.
