QueryBrowser installation problem

QueryBrowser installation problem

am 03.12.2004 14:09:13 von Nicola Jelmorini

Hi,

I have installed MySQL Administrator ver1015 and
MySQL QueryBrowser ver112 on my Windows XP PRO SP2 system
In the Tool menu of the Administrator the QueryBrowser is grayed (no
possible to select it) I have the same thing in the System Tray
Monitor: the QueryBrowser is grayed
I have tried to uninstall both programs, clean the registry, install
the QueryBrowser before the Administrator and au contraire, but the
QueryBrowser remain grayed

I have made the same type of installation on a Windows NT SP6 system
and this time the QueryBrowser is not grayed (I can select it)

Do you know why on NT system it's all OK, and on XP system not=3F

Can you help me=3F

thanks
best regards

I don't know the reason why on XP they can't find MySQL Query Browser
installation and the selection is grayed, but I do know that I have
the same problem here :) In fact, It really doesn't bother me, because
I use a shortcut at the desktop, but now that I know that someone else
has the problem, and that it works on another win version, maybe a
bug?! Dunno.

I had the same problem as well. I managed to fix it (or got lucky) when I=
uninstalled and clean the registry of the entries for both and then=
rebooted and did a clean install of QB then Admin.

Cheers,

Marcel
