Intermittent ASP/DB hangs IIS 5.0

currently running asp app on iis 5 win2k server and SQL DB on another
server. Getting intermittent hangs serving pages, but the asp eventually
revives. IIS serves html though, so I think it might be a db or MDAC
problem

Any ideas?
