Hi all,
I'm looking for information regarding the installation of MySQL (& php) on a
win 2000 sp3 server that already has MSSQL 7.0 (or 2000...not sure).
My question is:
1 Can MySQL & MSSQL run safely on the same win 2000 server? Will there be
port issues, etc.?
2. Can anyone point me to documentation on such an installation? I've
searched the MySQL website but couldn't find info on concurrent installs.
Thanks!
P.S. Yes there is a business need to run both db types. Just wondering if
they can be installed on the same server.

Yes you will be able to run both with no problems.

Thanks for the reply Danny.
So there isn't any customization needed during the configuration process (as
far as ports, etc.)?

No special customization needed for ports, they are different. IANA
maintains a list of well-known port numbers that are used by various
applications and services. You can view the list here:

Cheers.
