Cannot create Windows service for MySql. Error: 0

My O.S in Win Xp Pro SP2.
My web server is Apache 5.0
While I am trying to install MySql Server 4.1, I have the following error
and I cannot install the Server:

Cannot create Windows service for MySql. Error: 0

Can someone help me to install without error?

I had that error because I uninstalled mysql 4.0.18 without stopping and
removing the service first.
Now you have a service named mysql and cannot add another.

To solve this I reinstalled mysql 4.0.18, stopped the service, removed
it and then uninstalled it. Then I was able to install and run 4.1.8
with no more problems.

This happens because you have an existing MySQL service that is =
conflicting
with the service the installer is trying to create.=20

The page includes a small tool I wrote that can remove an existing MySQL
service with two clicks, it should prove helpful.
