Hello everybody.
Can somebody explain how data which data files is changed when you
upgrade the mysql server to a newer one f.eks. 4.1.7
The question is asked because I have a lot of data from an old version
and wants to upgraded to a newer one but are afraid that I don't hav
access to the old data.
Best regards=20
Rene

You should check the manual for the changes on mysql versions and see
if there's any relevant incompability (I guess you will not find any).
But the best way for you to be sure is to create a mirror of your
server, in another machine or in the same running the atual server,
and test your apps with the new server, checking for any problems. It
was already discussed once in this list how to run two versions at the
same time. Search for it :)
Best regards,
