InnoDB foreign keys, MySQL 4.1 and reverse engineering
am 13.01.2005 22:17:43 von Mark AndersonI've been working with a couple of database diagramming tools recently;
Data Architect, by theKompany, and (more recently) DBDesigner 4, by
fabForce. I really want to be able to reverse engineer MySQL databases,
while preserving the foreign keys between my InnoDB tables.
Unfortunately, after upgrading to MySQL 4.1, Data Architect has stopped
picking up my foreign keys (theKompany suggests that ODBC driver issues
may be responsible for this). On the flip side, I've never been able to
get foreign keys to be recognized by DBDesigner 4 at all, in MySQL 4.0
or 4.1.
Anyone have any input? I really don't want to maintain a 4.0
installation simply for diagramming purposes.
Thanks,
Mark Anderson
