I am a novice to Mysql and need some help. I am running 5.0.2 alpha on
Windows XP. Sever starts up OK.
I am currently testing GUI tools such as Navicat, Mysql Query browser.
My problem is that when a query involves "SHOW COLUMNS FROM "
the connection to the server is lost and the servers stops Err 2013. All
other queries seem to work OK. The problem also happens from the Command
Line Client which suggests it is a server problem. I can reconnect to
the server thru Administrator by pressing Start Service.
Look forward to your thoughts

Your error is the MySQL bug #6950, its fixed in 5.0.3.
So, if you use the CVS or compile the new version (I really don't know
if it already has a binary package, if it does, better for you), the
error will go away.
Hope taht helps,
