I have had good results with both spam assasin, and spambayes.
I had spam assasin tied into sendmail using procmail, and spambayes
tied into the system so when you retreived your mail it deceided it it
was spam or not. With either one it adds a classification header to the
email that the user can filter the mail with.

I've recently installed SpamAssassin which seems to do a pretty good job.
Keep in mind that you'll be increasing the load on your mail server
considerably though.

I've been using MailScanner for quite awhile with very good results. It can use spamassassin (and razor, pyzor, DCC) and it does virus scanning also.
