Font 6x13 problems

Font 6x13 problems

am 22.01.2004 16:21:45 von Leonid Mamchenkov

Dear all,

I have some problems with font 6x13.
For example, I try to run emacs and I have message:

No fonts match `6x13*font: 6x13*font: 6x13*font:
6x13*font:'
and emacs exit.

Some other applications display the same warnings.

It happened when I uprated Linux RedHat from 8.0 to 9.

Any suggestions will be appreciated!
Thanks in advanced.

Look in:

~/.Xdefaults
~/.Xresources
/etc/X11/xdm/Xresources
/etc/X11/xinit/.Xresources

and anything else which you can find with a similar name.

A valid entry would look like:

*font: 6x13

Check that there is a newline at the end of the line.

Thanks a lot, Glynn!

I've found of source of my problem with fonts.
Before update of linux I made some font settings using KDE Control Center.
So, after update up RedHat 9 I didn't remove directory ~/.kde, which
were included old fonts settings. When I've removed that directory, all
font problems were resolved.

Thanks.
