mysqlcc mini-bug and cosmetic/functional upgrade.

mysqlcc mini-bug and cosmetic/functional upgrade.

Hello,

I have a few things to say about MySQL Control Center for Windows, =
besides that it is a great tool for managing databases.

How-To-Repeat:
1. When you create a table, type a column name and define it as a =
Primary Key, then changing the column name will reset it's Primary Key =
state.

How-To-Repeat:
2. When you create a table, column names can be dragged around to order =
them in every order you like, but after saving the table, all column =
names are stuck to where they were defined.

How-To-Repeat:
3. Maybe it is usefull to have an option to export an entire database, =
incl. contents to a .sql-file to recreate the same situation on another =
server. Currently only the CREATE TABLE's can be exported.

With regards,
Bart van der Vliet

Hi!

I agree what you describe can become annoying at times. The above
functionality is to ensure one intends to change a key name, but what we can
do is place an option that will automatically rename keys when the user
renames a field.

> 2. When you create a table, column names can be dragged around to order
them in every order you like, but after saving the table, all column names
are stuck to where they were defined.

When you edit a table, you can press the CTRL key and simultaneously drag
the row you want to move to another place. This functionality is only
active when one is using MySQL 4.0 + as previous versions of MySQL don't
support the kinds of queries automatically generated to ALTER the table.

This is currently on our TODO list; we should have it ready anytime soon
now!

Jorge
