IIS Error

IIS Error

am 02.03.2005 19:31:43 von salamahl

Hello,
So, I have an MS Access DB (replicated) that is attached to a website
using ASP. I was changing some information in the DB (as I do many,
MANY times) and this time something strange happened. After I changed
the DB, MS Access had prompted me to save changes (usually it doesn't,
just makes the changes) and I said yes.

Now, when viewing the website (that extracts info from the DB) the
error I get is this:

The page cannot be displayed

HTTP 500.100 - Internal Server Error - ASP error
Internet Information Services

------------------------------------------------------------ --------------------

Technical Information (for support personnel)

Error Type:
Provider (0x80004005)
Unspecified error
/scripts/tech_training/inc/dbconx.asp, line 11

Browser Type:
Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322)

When I first open the page, it displays correctly. After that, I
always get the above error. I did not touch the ASP code and I am
unsure why this error occurs.

In order to try to fix this, since this DB is replicated (and this
error doesn't occur on the DB I didn't touch) I overwrote the working
DB to the one that's giving me the error. But that didn't help.

I am thoroughly confused. Any help is appreciated,
Laura

Could be a error of the machine hosting the web.

Check the usage of the cpy. Is it a powerful server?
Does this server or host serve more functions like a Terminal Server for
example?

Try restarting the host/server.

Rene

You're a little late on this one. The question was posted three weeks ago. I
suspect the problem was solved by Aaron's reply.
