Someone is using my domain name

Someone is using my domain name

I don't know where to post this so I apologize in advance if I put it in the
wrong place...

There's a worm out there that is creating spam with my domain as the sender
and apparently many people are infected with it. The email gets sent to
seemingly random addresses and when the addressed are invalid the rejection
notices get sent to my domain. I am getting hundreds of rejection messages a
day from various servers around the world, addressed to made-up recipient
names attached to my domain name. They are not coming from me - I looked at
the headers of some of them.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks,

Bill

It sounds like you use some kind of catch-all alias for your domain. If so,
you are essentially receiving what you are asking for. If you stop accepting
mail addressed to nonexistant accounts, your problem is likely to be much
alleviated.

Learn to live with it, as the rest of us have.

Fix your mail server so that it does not accept mail addressed to
nonexistent mailboxes. That the only mail it accepts is one that's
addressed to your actual mail account.
