Performance comparision dataproviders.

I have the problem to find out if its wise to use Oracle as a backend
for ASP.NET applications. At the moment all applications are build
against a SQL Server backend. A important aspect of the comparision im
making is the performance of reading and updating data. Therefor im
searching for performance comparision between the 2 databases and the
available dataproviders. Does someone have a link for me?

Given the troll potential and the seeming animosity between the 2 camps of supporters , you are not likely to get much
objective advice..

Perhaps the Gartner group or some other neutral party has done a comparison, but it may be hard to find..

Here is one comparison ( but remember, TP ability is only one factor)
