Perl Script to PDF?

Hello I am a newbie to PERL.

PERL is actually part of several software applications that are working
together (Java, Perl, Xerces,SAX) in a Java executable.

I am trying to find out if I can take the output of General Entity (.gent)
file and convert that directly to PDF before or after Parsing the file
through to XML output.

Any assistance is really appreciated.
