Logout button for Password Protected Directory

Logout button for Password Protected Directory

I created a "members only" section on my website by
password protecting a directory. I've added usernames and
passwords and works fine. My problem is I need to create
a "logout" for these members that will return them to the
home page. Right now the only way to get out is to close
the window and open another. I can put in a link to the
home page but it does not log them out of the directory.
Is that possible to do using a password protected
directory? I've asked my host company and they don't know
how to do it. I'd appreciate any assistance.

Not unless you are logging them in w/ a server side script (ASP)

So I need to create a login using ASP instead of password
protecting a directory?
