mailserver that allows synching outlook calendars

mailserver that allows synching outlook calendars

Hello,
Currently we use squirrel mail on an ISP to dealt with our small
company (12 employees) mail. Right now we have a problem with an
unidentified outlook client deleting stuff (actually requests for tech
sup) on the server - yes I know, the clients should have "keep a copy
on the server" ticked. But one as yet unidentified person has a
misconfiged client.

The solution I suppose is to implement MS exchange and also add value
by synching the outlook calendars. Sounds a bit expensive too me and
no doubt to the man with the cheque book.
Is there an open source email server that would do all or some of
this?

TIA

Tony

I can't point you at an open source mail server, but I can point you at
a "not microsoft" server that implements MAPI (what it is that I think
you're after): CommuniGate Pro

It's a product of Stalker Inc ( http://www.stalker.com )

If there are open source MAPI implementations that you find, please let
me know.

(and, no, I'm not confusing MAPI with IMAP)
