Resizing/reformating PDF files

What I trying to do is reformat a collection of pdf files, what needs to be
done is:

1. embed the fonts
2. resize from 8.5x11in. (1in margins allround) to 6x9in (1/2in margins all
around).

I've tries using ghostscript with the gs -dEmbedAllFonts=True with out any luck.

Any suggestions on Perl modules, there a number of pdf ones out there.
