free softwares to anaysis/diagnose linux cluster network connection

Hello

Wonder if anybody know any free tools to do this kind of thing, like the
MPI-Link-checker by Microway. I know I have some network connection
problems between the master node and client nodes, but don't know how to
find where the problem is, or what tools I should use.
