yahoo mail servers slow to respond

anyone else having trouble pulling mail from yahoo mail servers?

lately (last 2-3 months) around 8-9 am eastern when trying to pull my
mail i connect to serve (not always first time) but it times out for
lack of response

i have a premium account from which i pull mail, but its getting very
frustrating not being able to pull mail in a timely fashion..

anyone have any solutions for this problem; or is the solution to move
to gmail?
