@comcast.net I believe.

Comcast bought out attbi a few years ago. The attbi.com email
addresses kept working up through Dec 2004, but they're dead now. You
might be able to just substitute @comcast.net for @attbi.com to reach
your friend.

The domain attbi.com is no used by residential cable customers, as others
have stated; I don't have a clue what AT&T will do with it.
But you would be advised to find another way to contact your friend and
verify their email address. Two people I know were able to substitute their
@comcast.net for @attbi.com, but a third had to change from something like
"user1" to "user.1" @comcast.net. If an existing Comcast customer already
held the user name when Comcast made the former attbi.com customers change,
the preference was for the existing Comcast customers to keep the user name,
and force the migrated AT&T BI customer to a new user name.

It has been changed. AT&T sold off the attbi unit about 2 years ago.
