FP 2002 folder view not showing all files

FP 2002 folder view not showing all files

am 03.05.2005 17:19:09 von Support

I have been using FP2000 without issue but upgraded my
server, ext and FP to W2k server, FP2002 Ext and FP2002.
Now when I use the folder view some of my web files are
not displaying file directories that worked in 2000 but
are not shown in FP XP.
Some of the authors have used an underscore in their
directory names could that prevent XP from showing the
directory? for example HRStaff_photos etc the underscore
is not in the front but is in the directory name. Is there
a way to force Front Page to show these files?

If the directory names are all of the form pagename_files then these
are thicket folders produced by using VML graphics (WordArt, Text
Boxes, Shapes produced from the Drawing Toolbar) or by documents made
in other office applications and imported into FrontPage. These
thicket folders will never be seen in a FrontPage folder list, and
contain the images etc. associated with pagename.htm

If the folder names do NOT end in _files, then they are ordinary
folders that should be clearly visible in the folder list, unless the
first character is an underline _ . Since they cannot be hidden,
there is no setting to turn them on (leading _ excepted).
In this case, try deleting the web cache files, *.web, normally at
%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache
or use the FPcleaner tool at
