Peter,
How does the site interact with the Access database? Is it mostly dynamic
SQL, i.e. are the SQL statements generated in the ASP and then sent to the
DB, or are they using parameterized queries?
The answer to that question will determine what path you need to take to
migrate to SQL.
As far as books, do a search for SQL at amazon.com and you should be able to
find more than you could read.
