eg How to enter long file/directory names in a DOS command line =
processor ?

Long filenames must be in double quotes eg.
"C:\Program files\MySQL\mysql-opt.exe"
or you must know short filename eg.
C:\PROGRA~1\MYSQL\MYSQL-~1.EXE
But pay attention to short names. mysql-max.exe have short name MYSQL-~2.EXE

Not really for this list!
I don't think there is such a knowledgebase except for that provided by
Microsoft.
Long file names should work fine on the DOS command line but if they
contain spaces or other characters that have meaning to the command line
processor you need to put quotes around them.
