Hello all,
I've downloaded the latest version of MySQL, with a view to upgrading from:
4.0.3 beta. But when I try to install it will not let me change the
directory IE C:\.
Anyway of correcting this?

First, I believe this question was here a few weeks ago...
Then, I'll repeat, its not a good idea to install to the root
directory, and I couldn't find anything about installing there, so,
the best choice is... Don't do it... If you already have it there,
move it to its own directory, wich will keep it organized and
separated from the rest of the system files.

You should not install to C:\, C:\mysql or similar is much better.
