Just brought my box to a flaming halt with over 200+ zombie mySQL =
processes. Also, why are there now 10 mySQL PID's showing up? They are =
using almost 30% of the ram for no apparent reason.

It's a bit hard to tell the exact reason to the situation with that little
information.=20

Some operating systems include all threads generated by a program in the
'ps' command output. About 10 MySQL threads running should be completely
normal, even for an idle server.

Can you execute the 'SHOW PROCESSLIST' command on the server to see if ther=
e
are any queries running while this is happening?
