Hi:

I was directed to this link

2Bcreate%2Btemporary%2Btables%26ie%3DUTF-8%26oe%3DUTF-8%26hl %3Den showing a
bug that someone found in the most recent production release of MySQL 4.0.12

Our host, Verve Hosting JUST upgraded to this release this past weekend and
it has created PROBLEMS for us because our database and forum software
require the ability to create temporary tables. They thought they made a
manual fix to bypass the "security check", but it keeps getting dumped and
then messes up my forums.

Is there anything our Host can do to fix this permanantly? I need
help...Our forum was working fine until they upgraded to this version which
has a bug in it according to the link above.

Thank you in advance for your assistance...Denise

The link above states that the bug exists in 4.0.2. A follow-up message fro=
m
Sinisa Milivojevic from our company notes that this was fixed in 4.0.3.

I just tried the above in 4.0.12 and was not able to repeat it, so I believ=
e
this is fixed.=20
