the file: ctype_latin1_de.c
is missing in mysql-4.1.0-alpha source release
I don't use this charset and removing references to it from relevant project
files (.dsp) allowed compile to succeed.

All the same, I thought you might want to know.

This was fixed yesterday. If you do a 'bk pull', the fixed .dsp file
should be pulled in.

Martin,

just remove that file from the project files where is called and
rebuild the libraries again.

libmysql.lib : fatal error LNK1106: invalid file
Did I hear you have working source?

I can't guess why you are getting the above issues, just compiling
and removing that file from the projects: strings.dsp, mysqlclient.des
and libmysql.dsp from the source 4.1 provide in our site:

I downloaded the source by following the link on mysql's webpage to the
4.1-alpha downloads, pick mirror - UUNet / Ashburn, VA
The url is:

The only changes I made were to
1. remove references from the projects to the missing file ctype_latin1_de.c
and,
2. fix problem with multiple declarations/initializations within same scope
of "i" in function "Item_func_group_concat::fix_fields" in sql\item_sum.cpp,
starting at line 1631.
