Hi

I am testing a 4.1 version of MySql on windows 98.
now focused on unicode support.

Bug 1
opening mysqld with languague parameter
c:\mysql\bin\mysqld --language=3Dc:\MySql\share\polish\

Error message: file c:\MySql\share\polish\errmsg.sys had only 254 error =
messages but it should contain 255 ...

The czech, russian, danish error files also faild
I found that english and german error files work ok.

Error message: character set is not compiled character set


I'd like to add that I couldn't find any documentation or tutorials of =
how to define charsets for particular databases, tables and columns.

This is a known bug - UTF8 support was missing from the 4.1.0 Windows
binary:

This will be fixed for MySQL 4.1.1
