easy procmail recipe help

easy procmail recipe help

am 20.05.2005 22:33:28 von franklin28

OK. I have a recipe which forwards mail to my cell phone.

Currently it lookslike this:

:0
* $RECIP ?? ^^$CELL@$DOMAIN
{
:0c
franklin

:0
!2128675309@cingularme.com
}

I would like the alias to continue sending placing unadulterated mail
in the "franklin" file, but would, however, like to strip all message
text after the words "END HERE" before it gets forwarded to the cell
phone address below. (using, say, a perl script such as perl -e
'$x=join ('',<>); $x =~ s/END HERE.*//s; print $x;')

I've looked at the Prcomail FAQs but can't figure this out.

Any help on this one?

(I hope that was a munged address. Spambots search the
Usenet for email addresses 24-7.)

No need for a monstrosity like perl.

The procmail manpages are excellent. And you'll
probably find this page helpful too:

This one's a keeper. A definite bookmark.

Beavis thinks that <2XXXXXXXX@foo.invalid> might be a valid, deliverable
E-mail address.

Beavis: how many times were you dropped on your head, as a child?

My newsprogram's scorefile broke down. Usually I have the word

Do you have any idea how boring and silly your endless personal
antics and parrying are?

Yes, since you ask and obviously enjoy the getting personal. By logic
equal or more than I value yours. Else you would not have commented

Logic cannot support that conclusion.

The error in your theory is that I need to expend non-trivial effort in
assembling a simple, one-line reply.

A more accurate conclusion might be possible by incorporating the following
datum:

â€=A2 I never find it necessary to make public announcements regarding t=

Well, he may think that, but he hasn't actually *said* so, and given
what he *did* write, it's highly unlikely that he thought what you think
he thought. So perhaps you should comment on what is actually written?

I'm sorry, but for bookmark material you'd have to do better, or did
you mean a bookmark to one of *your* lows?

From your response to Timo:

You don't say! Don't you think it's blatently obvious that you put no
effort in your 'Beavis' postings? If you did, they might be funny, to
the point, .

Of course -- it's like shooting fish in a barrel.

And your sense of humor is, no doubt, very finely tuned. Just look at how
uproariously funny your own messages are.

Actually, Beavis substituted foo.invalid for what was probably a
legit domain when he followed up. Your mistake this time.
