Troubles compiling the errmsg.txt file
am 15.06.2005 09:36:56 von Webmaster JsDirI just updated to 4.1 and was trying to change che error message file for
"syntax error in query" trying to short the preamble to "Syntax error".
This simply in order to avoid scrolling horizontally the text console :-(
This worked fine in 3.x and in 4.0 releases
But now compiling the new errmsg.txt with the comp-err.exe *that come with
the 4.1*, the console (mysql.exe - the database run as a service with
mysqld-max-nt) instead of "syntax error... [same old info about the error]"
replies: "ERROR 1064 (42000): Query was empty".
The numeric parts of the error are ok but not the string (and doesn't show
the portion of the query that is wrong).
The same happen trying compiling to errmsc.sys the *original* errmsg.txt
(always with the same last comp-err.exe)
Does anybody else tried to compile the error messages file?
Even with the same problems?
I think that comp-err.exe works badly, but trying to compile with older
versions makes the service starting fail (of course) :-(
Thanks a lot in advance
