instability when inserting new data

hi. I have observed several times some instability when inserting new data in a table, meaning the new data are placed at the beginning of the table, not the end. this is big problem, because these data are dated. could you tell me if there is a way to prevent that ? I have the release mysql-3.23.38.

Upgrade your version, your release is too old and may contain bugs
fixed in earlier versions.

Or add a field that is auto-incrementing. Each new record added will
then be at the end. Cheers.
