Problem at port 110

am 14.09.2004 18:16:56 von Gurjiv Singh

Hi all,
I am facing a very peculiar problem, I'll try to explain the
setup first, I have 2 servers at my place
1) Server A --- Mail server ------ Running Sendmail.
2) Server B --- Proxy server ------ Running Squid.
Both the servers have a real (live) IP and a Local IP for internal
network purposes.
Whenever I try to contact the 110 port i.e. POP server of my mail server
from my internal network it gives trouble, sometimes it would connect
and most of the time's it won't. But if I contact it through the real IP
of the machine from either within my network or from any other location
it works just fine.
Please if anybody could suggest me the cure to this problem asap.
Thanks & Regards
GS
