rmail. emacs. filtering related commands.

For rmail in emacs
where the system puts spamassassin headers on messages,
what emacs commands can be tried
for filtering the spam with the spamassassin headers?...

Rmail or emacs commands for people without enough of the
expertise yet for programming dotfiles.

multi-posted to comp.mail.misc and comp.os.linux.misc,
alt.os.linux and comp.unix.shell

Why are you posting through google when you are an Earthlink
subscriber and they have a newsserver(s), which I happen to be
using right now? It is available to all Earthlink subscribers at
no extra charge.

And emacs _has_ a newsreader.

newsreader, the subjects are replaced by XXXXXXX.]

This is a MIME GnuPG-signed message. If you see this text, it means that
your E-mail or Usenet software does not support MIME signed messages.

And you still don't have a clue.

Dear Alan:

Usenet in its idealistic form is for the exchange and free flow of
ideas. If you have an idea that will help or you think might help the
individual with their question, please do share it.

There is no requirement in Usenet to post from a particular location or
in a particular method. The individual has cross posted to a reasonable
set of groups. The individual is likely using procmail on a linux
platform/system.

If this were a group for alt.where.did.I.post.this.from, your response
would have been relevant. In this case it is neither relevant nor helpful.

May be all the usenet hosts should gather together and add your postings
/rants to the usenet global kill file. At time your posting were
interesting, these days they are worse then the sound that results from
scratching nails on a blackboard (fortunately, for air quality, schools
may have stopped using them.)

No, the OP /multi-posted/ to a total of 15 newsgroups. And the vast
majority of these groups were off-topic for the question.

So AC was actually correct in this particular instance.

Well it's been a long time since I've personally used RMAIL, and I'm not
sure it has this kind of functionality /without first/ needing to write
some elisp.

RMAIL is very old. You would be far better off doing this in Gnus,
which already has sophisticated spam filtering capabilities built in.
